In the last years more and more buildings are betting on energy efficiency measures to reduce the environmental impact, improve thermal comfort and increase the acoustic insulation of buildings. As a result ChovA is mainly focused on the quality of the building enveloppe, its roof deck and floors and thus, supplies systems designed to reduce energy losses. In this way the ChovAFOAM XPS extruded polystyrene or the ChovACUSTIC Fieltex are achieving the target of reducing the non-renewable energy consumption by decreasing the demand for air conditioning energy in the buildings. These materials are essential to get almost zero energy consumption buildings classified as Passivhaus or that are getting BREAM, LEED or Green Acreditations in Spain.
At the moment of designing buildings with such afore-mentioned Acreditations, it is of most importance to reckon on the Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) of all the materials. Thus ChovA has the following EPDS:
- Different types of bituminous waterproofing membranes for decks, walls and foundations named POLITABER, ChovAPLAST EXTRA y ChovAPLAST.
- Different types of Extruded Polystyrene foam boards (ChovAFOAM XPS).
- Acoustic insulation products (ChovACUSTIC)
As an agent having an active participation in the building project, ChovA is committed to work daily in favour of the sustainability and for energy efficiency as a model of sustainable development.
